Celebrities Shop Just Like Ordinary Folks January 01, 2010 @ 11:16:53 AM EST
Just to assure you that the person next to you at the shopping mall might be a real star, you might want to read this article:
(PEOPLE.com) — Celebrities have been seen out and about, doing their Christmas shopping — or just having a good time. Here is a sampling:
• Demi Moore and hubby Ashton Kutcher went vintage shopping for the holidays. The happy couple stopped by What Goes Around Comes Around in Hollywood [snip]
• “Bachelorette” Jillian Harris was in a super goofy mood while partying with girlfriends at the Underground in Chicago for a Make A Wish benefit [snip]
• Leonardo DiCaprio dropped $560 at the Solstice sunglasses store at L.A.’s Beverly Center. [snip]
• Meanwhile, Brooke Hogan stopped by the Solstice store in Century City, California, and she was looking for some new eyewear to replace her “very expensive and flashy Dior” ones she wore into the shop, a source tells us [snip]
• A hoodie-sporting Jimmy Kimmel went shopping at a West Hollywood Target, scouting out holiday decorations before doing a sweep of the entire store. [snip]
Um, if you are new to this game let me whisper something in your ear: most of these press releases are fantasy. Most stars and wannabe stars have press agents. The press agents get stories placed in the media. The point of the press releases is to keep the star or wannabe star’s name in front of the public. Maybe some of the things mentioned in the quoted article happened. Maybe they didn’t. But it’s the job of press agents to keep the names of their clients in front of you.
Please note: I did not get paid anything at all to put the names in this story in front of you.
